Everyone in our group raved about the experience. All the guides are fantastic and clearly have a passion for putting clients on the fish. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for top quality fishing guides in the Jackson Hole area. They will certainly be our go-to outfitter for future trips.Brian TuggleRyan, just wanted to thank you and Teton Troutfitters for a great day of fishing on the Snake yesterday. Tom and I both agreed it was one of best days we have had there, enjoyed fishing with you. Thanks, and Tight LinesMichael LewisOur guide, Nic, was outstanding. First, he’s a joy to be around. Extremely patient, super friendly and very knowledgeable about fishing and the overall area. His technical instruction is clear and easy to understand. His approach to fishing is thoughtful, meaning he goes the extra mile to do what’s needed to find fish. We had two successful days of catching great trout but the days were a success regardless of landing fish. I look forward to next time! Thanks, Nic!BobAwesome day on the Snake River with Nic. Excellent, knowledgeable, patient, talented, and FUN man to be around. He put us on fish all day and taught us so much. His passion for what he does made our day! May God bless your hard work Nic!Jon DankworthFloat the canyon with Nic! He was as skilled on the white water as he was at getting us into some big native cutthroat trout on dries, droppers, and streamers. The conversation between hoops and hollers was equally as enjoyable. Go fish with these dudes.James A. Daly IIIWhat an incredible trip! Our guide, Nick, was exquisitely knowledgeable about fishing the river, flies, and rigs. We had plenty of good fishing action and caught a good number of cut throat trout. Even though we are beginners in fly fishing, Nick’s patient guidance and encouragement had us casting flies like we were old hands at it. We could not have been more pleased with our experience with Teton Troutfitters - from booking all the way to the fishing. Definitely 5 stars!Lake DalyWe had an amazing time and could not believe how many trout we caught! Nick was awsome, so upbeat and personable.Ryan D KralmanWe spent a day with Ryan on the Snake today and it was phenomenal. He had us on fish all day long. He truly knows knows this river and where the fish are. I've been on a number of guide trips around the west and have to say this was one of the best I've ever done. I highly recommend Ryan and his team and plan to come back and fish with him again.Vito MazzacaneRyan and Nick are the best! They are experts at what they do. We will be back.

Hailing from Savannah, Ga, Ryan never looked back upon arriving in Jackson Hole. Originally moving west to ski, it wasn’t long before Ryan fell in love with the summers. Ryan grew up in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and playing sports, so guiding fly fishing was an obvious choice when trying to find summer employment. Under the mentorship of the original owner of Teton Troutfitters, Scott Hocking, and head guide Mike McCloud, Ryan was able to make a career out of doing what he loves.
Teton Troutfitters is one of the oldest outfitters in the area, and Ryan intends to carry on the principles that founder Scott Hocking instilled in the company over the last three decades.
Fly fishing is such a great way to spend a day, and it is our pleasure to be able to share that with all of our guests that join us on the water.
Mike has been a long-time guide for Teton Troutfitters. After spending over a decade as a white water rafting guide, McCloud finally switched to the rigid boat to chase trout. In his years as a guide in the Jackson area, Mike has honed his craft as a guide and is an excellent person to spend time with while putting you on some fish.
When not fishing, you can find Mike volunteering as ski patrol at Snow King or cheering on the Penn State Nittany Lions football team.
Nic is one of the most dedicated anglers you will find. He eats, sleeps, and breathes fly fishing. Originally from Nebraska and Florida, Nic has been passionate about the outdoors his entire life. The only thing that Nic loves more than fly fishing is sharing his love for the sport with others. He is an excellent guide and anyone in the range of novice to expert will find value in their time on the water with Nic.
In the winter you will find Nic teaching skiing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, and in his off time, Nic enjoys biking, playing soccer, and spending time with his dog Lou.
The Kentucky-born Warren Wenzel has been in the Jackson area for about 7 years now. Bouncing around the west for a few years chasing snow, Warren finally found a home here in Wyoming.
Warren is an avid outdoorsman spending almost all of his time outside. He loves to hunt, fish, and mountain bike. Warren has been guiding fly fishing for the better part of a decade, but his true love for the sport showed when he founded The Riverbend Project, a nonprofit organization that takes cancer patients and survivors fly fishing.
Warren is a very competent guide, and an absolute blast to be around.
From St. Louis Missouri comes the most enthusiastic guide we have on the team. Sam’s passion for fly fishing is evident to anyone who has spent time around him. Though he is not afraid to have clients fish with wet flies, Sam is definitely partial to the dry fly as you will find in most pure fly anglers.
Sam also really enjoys studying entomology and learning about the feeding patterns of trout. When not fishing you’ll find Sam playing with his dog Unkus, or being social around downtown Jackson.
